Dre Nnamdi Anozie

Artist member since 2019
Toronto, Ontario

Nnamdi Onyi Anozie is a Nigerian born, self-taught Fine Artist with a primary focus in Fine Art Photography, Acrylic Painting, and Experimental Video. Currently residing in Toronto. While his practice includes a wide range of materials and ideas, some of his interests may include topics about 1.) Spirituality, Symbolism and Realism most specifically Ancient Nigerian Culture and Spirituality, 2.) Lucid Dreaming. Depending on the subject matter for each body of work, the material of choice may vary from Installations, acrylic photo prints, oil and acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, sculpting, and experimental Video. My creative approach can be seen as one of a pathetic fallacy, symbolism, photorealism, and abstract expressionism in fine art photography. Nominated for Best Video Direction at the Toronto Film School Festival of Films 2015 and Awarded the David Maltby Photography Award 2016. Over these years to present he’s been fortunate with the opportunity to freelance providing videography and photography services for various established brands, Music Video Artists, Local Business and Individuals looking to build a visual identity for themselves. This allowed him to work on other cool projects, from emerging brands to current events and of recent make time for his own creative and artistic development.
